BT at Global Dance Festival;
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Denver, CO Red Rocks Amphitheatre once again proved itself to be one of America’s hottest live music venues, as thousands from the ever-expanding Denver electronica scene came out to kick-off a night of cool debauchery and hot tunes at the tenth annual Global Dance Festival, July 22nd ‘06. The outdoors event kicked off at 5:00 p.m. and raged well into the night, as headliner Armin Van Buuren rocked the stage alongside house hero Kaskade, BT and Dieselboy. The party later moved over to “The Gothic,” a well-known Denver concert venue, where the party kept it's momentum until 6:00 a.m.

The line-up proved satiating to a variety of different palates, from the hard-hitting drum-based rhythms coming out of Stage 1, to the more sublime, ethereal tones emanating from Stage 2. The usual suspects were on the scene, equipped with pink hair, glowsticks, furry booties and shaking asses. But there were some new faces in the crowd as well, showing that it’s not just the club kids jonesing for a party. My advice is to book your flight now for next year’s festivities on July 23rd. If you’re looking for aesthetically-pleasing clubbing, nestled between the sprawling arms of red rocks beneath the stars, look no further than Global Dance Festival.
